Sports fans

Is it just my imagination or are CMP fans generally not into sport?
I know in my case I'd far prefer spending a Saturday chasing CMPs than watching a bunch of guys moving a ball around a field...
Many if not most CMP people I know here feel the same.
Buut when it comes to a beer, well, THAT's a different matter!

What's the general feeling?

Hey Keith I know that it isn't only sport that they aren't interested in I have even known someone say that starting his engine in the blitz is better than sex any day.

I think it is not just CMP fans who are not into sport, but a majority of MV enthusiasts. I gave up chasing an inflated bladder on leaving school 36 years ago and have no interest in ball sports.......but motor sports of all kinds, now that IS sport.

Hmmmm, me too; in fact all the MV people I know similarly view our so-called national sport as 22 grown men kicking a bag of wind around a muddy field. The apparent national obsession and complete addiction to these events we find sad and inappropriate.

Might I direct you all to the latest bit of bad news and like me you'll likely decipher the official speak into what it is - rampant PC fuelled by a vocal minority.

Sport? Sure! What about spanner twirling for finger dexterity, benchpressing with CMP axles for upper body strenght and knocking off barley sandwiches to work those abdominal muscles!

Ripper. Make sure its a UK one with a 5 deg bead angle though on a 0 deg Canadian rim. Find your biggest blokes but perhaps best not choose any from the rugby team eh.

Ahh...no worries, with my brand new German army surplus bead breaking device, bought at Beltring, well worth the entry fee for such a labour saving tool.

Was that the one in the crate with all the bits? They looked great-I quiet fancied one myself at that price, but it might be considered overkill for a landrover tyre.

That was the one, good bit of kit, specially made for large military wheels, not much good for Land Rover size tyres though.
