Bruce, I suspect you will be hearing from me for a few measurements (I'll send a shot of my aborted first attempt).

Al, those photos are spot on. It would appear that (save for the fittings of course) the sizes and shapes are certainly close enough for government work. Now to contact the tank museum for the Humber drawings.
