Striving for Perfection...
I blame Grant and Bob for this one. They noticed the different diamond plate pattern on my HUP running boards. I had my original driver side running board plate replaced with modern pattern plate. I figured only a select few would notice the difference.
After a cleaning jag, I found my "spare" running board which has the OEM spec diamond plate. So I swapped them out. Here is the contrast between the two plates: The before shot (modern plate pattern):  The after shot (OEM plate pattern):  There is minor difference, but when you work with perfectionists, well, "While in Rome"...
