BTW, Jason... just announced, the Kangaroo Annual Luncheon is set for Saturday 10 Nov 07 this year, 1200hrs (which means show up at 1100H!). Can you make it? Westjet's cheap, and AFAIK, Bill Miller's coming...

Nice set of photos Jason, i presume some one at the museum is going to make a start at some time on preserving some of them in particular the CMPs

Low cost museum?
Like Les here I'm a bit curious about this museum, I suppose they have some restored vehicles soemwhere as well!? And that they keep these to supply them with spare parts???

Marty. This museum was a private one, He collected these vehicles over the years. He had a car dealership and would take anything on trade. There was about 20 acres of all kinds of machines from combines to cars to army vehicles. The Alberta gov. built a large museum next to it and he donated most of their vehicles that are on display. It is a very large museum. There are lots of one of a kind articles. He is now selling of the remainder of pieces a little at a time. If you ever get to Alberta it is a must to see. The museum does there own restorations. and they are very professional, right to the original types of piant. you can actually watch them at work. www.machinemuseum.net

i remember that truck! pic #13
I was probably 16, 20 years ago dad rounded up lots of these trucks in southern alberta to trade to stan for some steam engines.
this particular one we put tractor tread tires on and headed into a dry creek bed , got hoplessly stuck , left over night , creek flooded 100year flood , filled that sucker with silt up to the windows , pulled it out later with an old cat, sent it up to wetaskawin. i ll try to scan some of the action pictures of all those old trucks we put through their paces till later Anthony
