Question: did they ever paint the inside of the hatch to match the roundel when opened? Or was that just too much to ask a bloke with a paintbrush....

Now that is a question I never thought of. I have never seen the inside of the hatch painted to match just as I have never seen the inside of them painted to match the cammo pattern paintwork if it was painted this way so I would be interested to know myself.
