NEWS FLASH - Canadian Beer Drinkers Threaten the Planet!

In the almost arbitrary manner of going "off topic" I decided to have a look at current temperatures in Canada, particularly in the region of Whitehose, Yukon where my "stray Canadians" hail from. This was after seeing mention of the temperature being -17oC in Ottawa

I laughed out loud at of thoughts about the state that the UK would get into if the temperature reached their forecast high for Monday (-23oC).

There again, the "powers" would probably declare that it was the wrong type of cold (in the style of an infamous incident of the wrong type of snow that some in the UK may remember). More than likely they would just raise the taxes on heating fuels.

I suppose though that we could all just stay inside with the beer, wine, spirits, poteen, etc.
