Hi Sean,
I haven't seen a story as yet that actually verifies what was in the clumps of ice, but what you say about the toilets I thought weird too because I always kind of assumed, without thinking about it really, that toilet waste would never be allowed to be dropped from planes onto peoples heads LOL although this story made me wonder that IF they say its toilet droppings and that's verified, then there must have been something broken in a big/bad way ![]() When you say "collected" how is that set up? A drainage "hole" that goes directly from plane to outside the plane to be drained into a container? Or containers are "contained" within the plane and must be manually removed from the plane (like baggage) ??? Makes more sense and more probable to be muddy and or greasy clumps of dirt in ice dropping off the bottom of the plane or something. What a thing to think about hey? ![]() Karmen |

Not being up on all the different types of aircraft poop containment mechanisms, I would hazard a guess that it is a holding tank that is pumped off at the end of the flight by a sewage truck or vacuum hose connected to the airport. Not unlike draining a camper grey water tank. I would also imagine after being up at 35,000 ft , the tank would smell really HIGH.
