Fabulous pics, Keith, thanks for sharing!
Had to take a sit down though, to absorb it all ![]() Reminded me of the first and only CMP I ever found in a Dutch scrapyard. A C60L chassis/cab which did not look too bad until I opened the door and the doors crumbled from their hinges. Typically, the yard owner was asking way too much and last thing I heard about it was that it was scrapped because of a lack of interest. . . . . Cheers, Hanno

Hanno, I did warn you !
Radek, these pictures were taken just 3 weeks ago, as during the spring, most of the trucks are covered by brambles and green foliage. I was actually looking for a part for my Dodge, which incidentally came from this yard 30 years ago, and knowing that there was a lot of ex mil vehicles in the yard, took my camera along. I intend to revisit the yard again soon, to take some more pictures of yet more trucks, and I'll have a word with the owner. Attached are two shots of the remains of two F15a 's F15a.JPG F15a1.JPG Two more pictures, this time the remains of an early WC51. There is another C30 near this Dodge, which I'll try to photograph next time round. I also want to get some more pictures of the F60 and the D60, and before David asks, there are no data plates on any I've looked at so far. Now I can see why some of you blokes get so excited when you see pictures of our CMP wrecks with only a small percentage of the rust you experience. Salt (and a wet climate) does amazing things to steel doesn't it?
One of the few benefits ( the only one from our perspective perhaps) of our loooong drought is it will have extended the life of our rusty relics here by more than a decade.

thank you for posting these pics. i'm amazed at the level of decay these vehicles have suffered. the area where i live isn't that different from the u.k. climate wise, damp and as close to salt water as one could get. when i finally found my 12 cab, it had sat, overgrown with flora, for at least 20 years. it was also located about 40 feet from the banks of a salt water harbour. while there was very little traces of any kind of paint, the sheet metal survived rather well, when compared to your photos. also, i didn't see any cab air intake louvers on the 11 cab 60cwt picture you posted...it must be an early production vehicle
cheers!! mike |

Hello Keith,
I was there about 20 years ago, we were able to salvage some parts from a Humber Heavy Utility and some parts for an Austin, there were also some dodge 1/2 ton Carryall's and Ambulances I believe. The most special vehicle we found was a GMC ACKWX-353 should be an ex pre war French contract diverted to the UK. I wonder how much is left of the vehicles, as they were almost in the same shape as you found them. Green greetings Hendrik van Oorspronk ![]() PS.Niel the steeringbox from your C15TA came from this place, from a cab 11 or 12
