M-4 Sherman IC Firefly at least 5 M-4A2 Sherman III 75 at least 3 M-4A4 Sherman V 75 at least 5 Found 1 photo of M-5A1 Stuart VI And some photo's of 1 Kangaroo al the same one with 1 CACR markings On a lot of Photo's it's hard to tell what type it is, because many are coverred in "Chickenwire & Ammobox Lining" or "Horsehair Matting"? But it seems the 75's are a mix of Sherman III & V, while the Fireflies i've seen are Sherman IC. I couldn't indentify one as Sherman IC Hybrid, but could well be used the before mentioned makes it hard to indentify them. According to the records all are B Squadron, and the photo's that show their markings sure have the B Sq. Square. Hope this adds to your info. Cheers Ronald |

I know I am resurrecting an old thread but I am doing some research for a modelling project involving FGH Shermans and I am looking for some period photos of the Sherman Ic or Vc tanks used by them. I have found a few photos of shermans identified to the FGH but not many which I can tell if they are Vc or Ic tanks. Do any of you fellas have any photos of those types they would be willing to share either here or if you prefer via email?
Thanks!

Hi Eric
Why not try a troll through Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and their "Faces of War" database. Searching "Sherman" and "Garry Horse" yields some results that may help you. Click the left number and then click the photo for a larger version. http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...es/search.aspx Some results: http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...?IdNumber=977& http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...?IdNumber=945& http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...?IdNumber=944& http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...?IdNumber=976& http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discove...?IdNumber=288& regards Darrell |

Those results bring up one or two that I haven't seen before. I wish I could find more side and front photos with detail. Most out there are views from the rear or far off photos without much detail! I was especially interested to see if there more photos of the applied make shift wooden pickets used as AT protection.
