RSM, there are artillery shell collectors out there. Perhaps some google searches and poking around the various forums will produce some leads.

My second thought is to find the authorized military museum organization. The 25pdr was so common, it would be remarkable if every museum didn't have one or more empty cases in their inventory. If the question is asked the right way, you might find new life for a forgotten artifact that has been stored indoors for 60 yrs. It might be cheaper too.

Out of curiousity, how do you reprime and fire the shells?

No offense was intended as being Air Force where all WO are the same grade thought never crossed my mind.

Suspect that down here there would be cases, but the problem is the freight or mail costs do not help the situation.

If you found enough could be cheaper to fly Max up with case full, might bring a new thought on long range border raiding.

Wish you luck in your quest.

Regards

Col
