I call once again upon the immense pool of knowledge that is held by the august members of MLU. I have a picture of an German, I assume, artillery tractor complete with limber and howitzer. At first, I assumed it was a Skoda RSO (Rad Schlepper Ost) but upon closer inspection several features of the Skoda, when compared to other pictures, are missing or different. This prompted me to research further and I found various references without pictures were made to a Latil Radschlepper f. An online search for pictures of that tractor were fruitless. Can anyone at MLU identify the tractor in this picture?

I think -
That's the second time this weekend that I have said that I think a picture is of an Italian item. Think this is a Pavessi (or similar spelling); believe one was trialed by the british in the 30s. The triangles t the outside of the wheels can flip through 180 degrees to aid traction. Noel |

Si Si! Muolto Buon! It's definitely a Pavesi, thank you gentlemen. The mud and the American M3 half track in the background had me thinking ETO as a few Skoda RSOs were used there but it also rains in Africa and Italy.

Hi all
I was researching this vehicle a while ago for a lady who said her father saw one of these in Oz. I'm trying to find the Email to determine his connection with it. In the mean time I trawled an image from the AWM. Bob

The answer of course, at least in Australia, is in the curve plotted by measuring the amount of liquid refreshment consumed against the time taken in moving from the Ford to the Chev for the purposes of measuring said wheelbase; but I won't give it away, we'll let some other aspiring bright spark in our membership have a go at it. ![]()

...... tis because it was the same engineer who designed the CMP 16 inch rims...... his yards stick was 1/4 short of a full foot.....
...or the other version is that Chevs were always used to pull heavier loads than Ford and they got stretched 1/4 inch longer.... ...and the prize is...... Snow bound...slow day.... Boob
