I'm helping out the commitee that's planning the school services.
Much to my dismay, there was constant talk of video clips and bits of movies on the correct theme - sacrifice - but none are canadian. Can this astute gathering of minds reccomend any canadian movies?

Are you loosing it.. This is the first place I would go for Canadian Military movies..and they are using real troops as the stars..no phony Hollywood Rambo types.. http://www.waramps.ca/CMSMasterHome.aspx?&LangType=1033 Get in there are blog with Cliff.. Canada's Military Heritage Series In 1985, The War Amps embarked upon a project called NEVER AGAIN! which was inspired by War Amps CEO Cliff Chadderton after several commemorative visits to military cemeteries around the world. The War Amps believes that is has a responsibility to pay tribute to those who served, and to warn younger generations about the true horrors of war. Who better to recount the battles as they really happened than veterans who experienced war firsthand? The documentaries, music videos, and memoirs in the Military Heritage Series bring to life the experiences of the Canadian volunteers who served, and honour those who gave their lives. This is all part of Operation Legacy, The War Amps commitment to preserve Canada’s military heritage. War amputees know the importance of fighting for freedom. A military deterrent may indeed be necessary to prevent future conflicts but we owe it to younger generations to do everything possible to avoid global war in the future. The War Amps internationally award-winning productions are available on loan, free-of-charge, or may be purchased at a cost-recovery price (including taxes and shipping within Canada). Orders can be placed online or by calling our toll-free number at 1 800 250-3030. and order all his videos.. Here is his Military Heritage page..just some of the videos available.. http://www.waramps.ca/military/wwii.html Get out there and spend some of that promotion money..you won't come up to our Rotters gather up's at Gracies and stand the lads a drink or sixteen..so you might as well donate to War Amps..a damned fine organization.

When's the next big Veteran's event in Ottawa? That drive down the highway in the carrier is still one of the best drives - ever.
