Default Polsten Parts master break cylinder

Hello guys,

I am in need of a bendix s230 or s228 master cylinder rebuild kit
my washers are shot aswell as the aluminum plunger part no fc1550
made by wagner/lockhead usa can any one help if the rebuild kit cannot
be found a working replacement will be required i believe its a standard
type used on american or canadian vehicles of ww2

this is of the polsten quad mount trailer and as you can guess not to wise
to be towing such a beast with out sufficent breaks

i also require one jack handle for leg the straight type

i have loads of other polsten parts on my shelves

can any one help

The master cylinder looks like the Ford CMP cylinder. If so, it is available as a modern production item from Mac's, Rock Auto and possibly others. If you can give the part number from the manuals this should be possible to confirm. I'm fairly sure that rebuild kits are available too, but check the condition of the bore before rebuilding. There's no point having great guts in a pitted bore.

thanks chaps im near belfast northern ireland
and uncanny enough my aka nickname is mac lol

the bores great it was the aluminuim plunger brokke as we tried to take it apart it was well seased the brakes in the wheels are like new also

just the washers and plunger shot

would you be able to help me source the parts required many thanks

Your master cylinder should be easy to fix, or get a replacement for. There is probably a casting number on it. Take it to a brake specialist, and they will help you. 1 1/4" bore is a common size. If the bore is ok, you will need a new piston of the correct length a spring, and a kit.

you will see the master brake cylinder

it is a bendix s230 cast on side
the broken plunger is a wagner usa part number fc1550

can someone please help as i was hoping to tow it in the remembrance parade in november
