Default Ford CMP brake light switch

Question. If I remove the brake light pressure switch at the back of my F8 master cylinder, does this open up and therefore start to drain the hydraulic fluid? Or is the pressure applied to the switch through some sort of sealed membrane? If it is going to drain and need refilling/bleeding then I'll wait for the warmer weather in my unheated garage! Not a job for minus x degrees!
