Hi All
With all our discussions of mounting tires this issue is one that has never come up. One of the guys in our local MV club sent it to me for our club newsletter - it concerns what "can" happen when heat is applied to a tire rim. Tire Safety Video- Important Point Watch - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBUVzgCHHuA The source is Bridgestone Tire Company. Makes you wonder about why they use nitrogen in tires subjected to high heat doesn't? Now to our chemist, engineers, etc. what more can you tell us about what is going on. Just watch some of the linked videos which are also very interesting particularly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnyh78wjZ1o&NR=1 Cheers Phil
