Default Mount Bracket

I have another mystery Bracket/Mount that maybe someone can tell me the application for it. It still has the # of (2590 21 111 6997 Carrier Kit) on it, Anyone ???

According to my old microfiche that is a bracket to mount a jerry can bracket to the side of an M38A1.

And by coincidence I have the mod instruction to mount this bracket. Here is the jist of the instruction.

Saw one on a 1/4 ton CLAK once. It helped as we stood on the jerry can as often as sat on it. Jerry can seat on one side, spare tire seat on the other.
