Hi All,
This is my first post on the forum. My father-in-law has a 1942 Canadian Dodge T110 L5 Truck that was purchased as army surplus in Western Australia many years ago. We think it was used by the British army and would really like to know a bit more about it's military history. - Engine number T110 14287C. I have also been tasked with chasing a few parts online to help get it running a bit smoother and stopping (i.e. it has no breaks!). Any information on the history / where I can source parts online would be greatly appreciated! Happy to provide any information necessary. Thanks, Austin |

Hi Austin, very nice to see one of these T110 Dodges for restoration. It's an Australian Army delivery, the type was also used by the British.
If you carefully rub back the blue paint on the front cowl you will hopefully reveal it's Australian Army number, normally painted on each side. Then you can look up some details in the online AWM 126 series which will possibly tell you when it was disposed of. I have new old stock driver handbooks for these if you need one. Just send me a PM.

Hi Austin
Nice truck, Used scotch bright , and washing up liquid to very carefully rub back the bonnet, a UV lamp can help, But you need to get some device pictures so you can see where other, details maybe painted on, i did not realise that Duel numbers were painted on Ex-British Army trucks during WW2, So if ours had a duel Number I will have rubbed it off. regs rupert |
