canadian-american jumbo jeep

hi all

as mentioned in another thread, i made a visit to the library last week. two of the books i borrowed were Bart Vanderveens' observer series from the early 70's. while looking through the ww11 vehicles book i noticed a drawing(attached) of a 6x6 titled as a canadian-american jumbo jeep. this was a pilot vehicle, but what company(s) produced the pilots? are there any more pictures in existance of them? any more details of the project? your thoughts......
