Hello Eric
You would have to be careful saying things like that i might take you up on that offer As for white tail spiders we have had a few of those creeping into the area in the last few years as well , never had any up till about five years ago I thought they were exported from your end Robert I like the way you dispatch the buggers .My neighbours are only about 50 metres away so i am now a bit limited in what i can use

snakes
I had to get close enough to use the 22 today, a red bellied black was in the shed with my blitz. There wasn't much left worth photographing after I turned it into swiss cheese with 7 hollow points

Thought I would revisit this thread to remind our other side of the planet allies about warmer times
Today in my backyard it is overcast , strong westerly breeze and a mild 39 degrees c roughly translated 103 degrees farenheit quite glad it is overcast as it would be getting into the warm area of the thermometer otherwise

39 degrees is nothing. With wind chill that's what we are. Oh, wait, were you talking plus or minus? I'm going outside now with a couple of aerosol cans to hasten that global warming they keep talking about!

I am glad I now live in Sydney. When living near Geelong, 20 years ago the weather in summer was not as hot as it has been over the past couple of years. I hope the temperature when we are at Corowa is a little cooler than last year.

Ahhh, only 45.3 degrees today. Building engines in that heat isn't fun. Beats any gym workout I reckon.
At least the power is back on at home tonight. Was out for over 12 hours last night. Bring on winter.

Here in Holland it is just above freezing during the day, and below at night. We hope the cold sets in again so we can do some more ice skating like a couple of weeks ago!

Another 45c day today. It actually got to 49.1 ! in Teesdale today which is 10minutes north of here.
Half of my crew didn't show up to work today. Can't blame them I guess, the lazy, weak bastards. Have had twelve chooks die over the last three days. This hot weather can just piss off.

50c
Hi all - too hot to work in the shed so this week have been doing part's field trips. Yesterday on the plains our Cherokee thermometer read 50c. Don't bother with the air-conditioning, just open all windows. Chooks still laying but new trees suffering.

we are forecast to get some of the white stuff tomorrow, Bob, blowing in from Russia direction, it has been the coldest winter for 13 years in the UK. So much for the "experts" and their global warming theories about Europe becoming a parched desert.

Barry, no we don't use hockey sticks. Skating in Holland is all about long distances. As you know we have a lot of waterways. When they freeze over, many tours are organised where you skate anywhere from a few km's to a few hundred km.
When it has been really cold for a while and the ice is at least 15 centimetres thick, the Elfstedentocht (which means ‘eleven towns skating tour’) is held in Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands. The Elfstedentocht is a very hard 200-kilometre skating marathon that passes through eleven Frisian towns. Because it isn’t often cold enough for the marathon, it is a very special event, almost like a national holiday. People come to Friesland from all over the Netherlands and beyond to cheer on the 2,000 skaters who take part. Every person who reaches the finishing line receives a hero’s welcome. The last Elfstedentocht was in 1997, this year many people are hoping it will happen again this year! H
