Or this sector shaft
It looks a lot like a GMC but I'm not sure. It has five teeth and a fairly distinctive end.

Oil Filters.....
Specific numbers/application not so sure ....but that type of disposable
by-pass oil filters were popular on civilian Dodge trucks and cars in the late 40's...... oil line screwed in at the top and bottom and the whole assembly held in place by a large clamp like the one used to hold ignition coils. Just had to remember to hold your little pinky over the bottom hole after disconnecting...... Certainly an improvement over the mess made by a cartridge element .........particularly when mounted sideways underneath a CMP passenger side Yeeck!..... Looks like Keith has been doing the local flea markets.... Boob

Oil filter
Thanks Bob
The invention of the spin off oil filter was a great boon wasn't it. Not exactly a flea-market find... something far more exciting than that. Keith Quote:

Hi Keith, Not QL, the number is very close for front linings though, which were Z6029.

Hi Keith,
Me again . In my element here with Pommy parts........this is the fibre drive gear for a Lucas Magdyno, without checking part numbers, I feel sure it is the one for BSA M20, and many others, like Norton 16H, etc.

Linings
Thanks Richard
Interesting... they are obviously for something about the same size. I wonder whether they were RL?

The style of packaging for Bedford linings is unfamiliar, also brake linings for most of the models I am familiar with, have different thickness for leading and trailing, and this is true for all Bedfords in military and civvy use during WW2, ie K, M and O (civvy), and MSC, ML, MW, OX, OY and QL. Not RL either. Back to the package style, I wonder if it is prewar?

Packaging style
Interesting thought.
I did think the packaging was rather stylish, rather then utilitarian military. It could well be pre-war, but judging by some of the other material there most of it seems to be either wartime or post-war. Quote:

How wide are the linings Keith? I am wondering if they belong to a cable and rod break truck because of the linings haveing the same thickness.

Width
They're about 9cm or 3 1/2" wide, fairly thin and brass impregnated.

3 1/2" way too wide for a '38 30cwt front so I'm no use to you

They are a similar size to CMP rears so I'd be thinking they are for a 3-ton vehicle.
