Yeah, 65 odd years ago... Technology has progressed a bit since. They use brand new cars now. Mostly donated by manufacturers and importers.

Except for at Wagga Wagga. The engines they train on for rebuilds are early 1980's Ford Laser/Mazda 323 carb SOHC!!
This is why most manufacturers are now ofering their own apprentice training

What an interesting piece of history. I like the way all rubber parts were made with white rubber and other things painted white leading to the name of ghost car.
