I can't believe the weather here. The day before yesterday was 43C+ and today it's 23C with 85% humidity and my neighbour needs a boat to get around. Luck I built my place up. It's a shame this water can't be dropped on some of the terrible fires around the country.
Colin.

Default Of drought and flooding rains.

Yes Colin, some areas a so dry that the farmers are having to shoot their stock and I hear some are then shooting themselves although this is not made public. There's probably some truth to it.
It can be a hard country.

Strange world ...... they are having to shoot stock in England now because they are sinking in the fields and fodder is getting short. Even heard about some buffalo over here who are too heavy to move on sodden ground and will have to be put down.

Fortunately no extremes here, it was getting very dry here and the swamps were drying up but fortunately it started to rain steadily last night. We had 12.25 mm over night and it is still raining now.

High winds here at present, reported to be up to 80 mph. No doubt there will be some debris about in the morning. Reports on the local radio of trees down.
