question on Stuart markings Normandy
Building a scale model of the Stuart V, and there isn't much space on the rear fenders for the AOS and formation sign. Would it be correct to shrink them down to fit, even though it would end up smaller than the standard prescribed size?
The vehicle will represent the 1st Hussars, so are there any known peculiar locations for the markings? As of now, plan is to follow placement as illustrated by this pdf file from the Armoured Acorn site: http://media.wix.com/ugd/279ff1_d702...691ac5c325.pdf Should add that the turret will carry tactical HQ markings on the forward end. regards, Jack Last edited by Jack Geratic; 03-09-14 at 07:01. My guess is it would fit...
I guess you have seen these . The second one has the number, below engine bay doors , partly censored but can get the idea from it . Looks like they stacked them one above the other as there was not enough room for a long string. |

He is using staticflkr (similar to photobucket) rather than loading them to the MLU site. Only problem with this is if a guy closes his hosting account, or changes the link at all, the pictures will no longer show here.

Lynn - thanks, and yes the photo , as Rob has guessed correctly, is directly linked from my flickr account.
Gina - thanks for posting those photos, I don't think I've seen that first one. These though are American marked vehicles, while I'm working on a Canadian equipped unit. The markings in question are these: Rob - yes, still figuring out the process. I think I've got it now. regards, Jack |

Well found this photo of pair of Stuart V, but without their turrets. It clearly backs up the colour profiles in the pdf link in my first post.
