Default C15A rear axle tapered dowels

Hello, I am in need of a couple rear axle tapered dowels, as some of mine vanished, while I was doing a brake job on my C15A. Thanks, Leonard leonard144@verizon.net

Are you talking about the cones that go on the axle to hub studs? If so, we got them from NAPA. I can check the bag tomorrow for a part number if someone doesn't chime in before then.

The part number on the cones we have is 005737, but I'm not sure whos part number that is. We got them from NAPA but they don't come up on their search engine. I think we got them from the heavy truck guys though.

R005737 seems to be a Meritor part number. If so, it crosses to Euclid E-5737 found in catalogue at http://www.macpek.com/wp-content/upl...-de-freins.pdf on page 2-49. Please confirm the dimensions are correct for your use. An earlier thread http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...ghlight=euclid suggested caution is also needed to be sure you supplier gives you the split style.
Searching on tapered dowel or drive flange wedge may help.
Your local truck (think 5 ton and up) parts supplier may be helpful, mine was.

Don't know why my supplier didn't put the R on the bag. The part number still doesn't work on the Canadian NAPA site, but it does on the US site (where it also shows them non-split despite merritor having the split ones under that p/n)

Len, they are the same from any ford truck of that era, with a full floating hub.

Default rear axle cones.

Ford part no. BB 1142, not listed in Mac's catologue.
lots of medium trucks with 7/16 studs also use them.
