Great Book...Interesting Facts!
Gentlemen: Just finished a great book entitled :"Ship of Ghosts" by James D. Hornfischer. Lots of time to read due to the "GD" heart condition! Anyway....would Highly recommend the book to Americans, British, Dutch and Australians, as it's all about the fall of south east Asia to the Japanese during the very early parts December 7th 1941 onwards! The book deals with survivors of the USS Houston and the HMAS Perth, Bridge on The River Kwai and then some. ANYWAY.....to keep the story short....there is a small part in a chapter about rendering Allied Equipment useless so the Japanese could not utilise it. AND this my friends may resolve the on going saga of FORD vs CHEV vs DODGE.
Enjoy....Robert |

Precision machines require that film of oil. It is not a measure of weakness but rather quality. Chevs had to be designed to accept the lack of oil cause they leak so damn much.

“Instructed by the Dutch to surrender.....”
Thanks for the heads-up, Robert.
Seems an interesting book on an intriguing period in history, experienced first hand by several family members. Hanno

Hi
Reminded me of a song by Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans: TRUCK GOT STUCK The Chev got stuck and the Ford got stuck But the Chev unstuck when the Dodge showed up But the Dodge got stuck in the tractor rut Which eventually pulled out the Ford With some difficulty....
