Abandoned West Coast Australian Military Base
Back in the 1980's there was a Wheels and Tracks article with photos of this base submitted by one or two individuals who made a trip out to explore it. If memory serves is was a cross country trip, as no road was available to get to it.
The attraction was a large number of Blitz vehicles, and a few others, abandoned there and still sitting quietly in the weeds. Can any of our Australian members identify this base and what purpose it served during World War 2? David |

That is probably Truscott airfield that you are referring to on the north coast of Australia, a number of CMP Blitz trucks there. I have heard stories of this from some who have been to the site as well as seeing it on video or TV a long time back.
