New Israeli weapon
A recent Toronto Canada newspaper article claims that the Israelis are giving up their M-16 series rifles in favour of a nationally produced rifle named the Tavor.
A picture shows the Tavor in test firing mode...behold! it is of bull-pup design. Haven't the Brits found the bull-pup design to be wanting? Any-one got a spin on this?

re. bullpup
There's nothing wrong in principle with the 'bullpup' design for a small-calibre assault rifle. It saves having different weapons for armoured crews, motorised troops and infantry.
The problems that we have had is that the SA80. while being very accurate on the range, has a reputation for falling apart in combat. I've fired this thing on a range - it's 'orrible - give me a No4 anyday.!!
