Default project f15

WORKING ON IT FOLKS, THE ARMY MUSEUM HAS TOLD ME OF ALL THE MODS THAT WERE DONE, MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE ONLY SERVED IN N.Z. AND WAS ADAPTED WITH THE TRAY ON IT ALTHOUGH IT AS IMPORTED AS AN ORIGINAL PORTEE , STILL BOWING TO THE GURUS BUT AT THE MOMENT STRUGGLING WITH SPLIT RIMS, HOPING TO HAVE THE ENGINE RUNNING NEXT WEEK, IT SEEMS OK. APPARENTLY MODIFIED ABOUT 1944-45 WE THINK . STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL TRAY AS SEEN IN THE PHOTOS, MONEY DECIDES IF IT GOES BACK TO ORIGINAL WITH THE RAMPS ETC. AND ALL THE GRIEF THAT FOLLOWS.

ALL THE BEST MERRY XMAS TO YOU ALL

I still think it is an injustice that Mrs H has been into the tunnels, and I have only driven over the blessed things!
What I need Maxie is a pair of head gaskets & any advice on freeing stuck valves...
What is the recommended head gasket material? Does anyone have a new part number?

She obviously runs without the use of all cylinders; remove the heads and cut the offending ones off with an angle grinder so they don't interfere in future.

Doesn't Jo read this forum occasionally? You're toast now.

As for your other question, gasket material - you know that white PVC used for wood glue? Alternately you could use gaffer tape. That'll stick to anything.

what I done once was soak the valves with oil and then with all the plugs out had some one push the starter button while I taped the stuck valve down in time with the engine through the plug hole
first I made sure that the valves would move a little, they may not close up at first but I never give in.
Other wise you gunna have to take the head off if they are stuck hard.

Certainly looks like it's a canvas valise for storing a tarp! Well done on finding such a rare item. Your mission now is to not only find what goes in it but what carried it too.

Nicely marked as well.
