CMPs IN NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE
I had an interesting chat with Phil Waterman over the CC5 Weekend. He recalled seeing a photograph of a HUP in a back issue of National Geographic Magazine. IIRC, he mentioned that it may have been in the 1948 series.
Upon return home, I went thru my collection of NatGeos and unfortunately, I do not have any late 1940s issues (I also got distracted by my vintage Playboy mags for a while...). I guess that I am not the only NatGeo packrat out there, so this is an appeal to all those other collectors of magazines (who also thought that they would come in handy some day and thus are worth the space to save) to check out your collection to identify the issue and perhaps post said photo.
