Found this ad on the Dutch website http://www.gaf.zeelandnet.nl/

Interestingly, the stencelling on the side proves this is an ex-UNRRA vehicle.

Default Mini-mi F15A on ebay (Germany)

[Moderator's note: threads merged from this posting onwards]

Mini-mi is on Ebay....

I remember we discussed this narrowed and shortened F15A on the forum before, after Swiss Chris (?) found it.

None of the extensive mod's are mentioned in the ad though, expect for the engine swap

Using the search feature with the words "Narrowed" and "Shortened", I only get 2 responses, the thread you are reading and THIS ONE.

@ Tony

The question comes up in the old thread as well......why did anyone bother to modify this truck to such an extent....

Hanno mentioned the word " Unimog"....wait a minute.....could this be a prototype Unimog? It does show a lot of simmilarities with the first Unimogs when it comes to wheelsbase, width...no cab roof....and a Merc engine!
That would explain why they didn't bother to keep the word "Ford" in one piece on the clip and why they even narrowed the fenders.

I think too that this is a Unimog Chassis with a Blitz Cab, Blitz Wheels and Engine. But probably a longer wheelbase...

Something like this?

Chris,

Well, the axles and chassis seem to be modified Ford Units as well and the engine is a Mercedes unit according to the Ebay auction. So, an explanation could be that the people behind UNIMOG used surplus military material to build their first prototype Farm tractor.

But, why didn't they change the driving position from right to left.....hmmm, maybe it's got nothing to do with UNIMOG after all......the NATO indicator on the sides also point towards a later modification; First UNIMOG was from 1947(?)

The D15 is still listed on their website, the C60S is gone, but they have a C8A HUP project listed currently.

Default Can you read what on the side of the HUP

Hi Hanno

Interesting HUP, yes been butchered but not as bad as some that have been restored. Can anyone read what is printed on the side panels?

Cheers Phil
