Hello Bob, I know the question of copper versus steel tubing. Steel tubing is almost impossible to find here in Italy at the auto parts stores (or anywhere, for that), also the steel tube tends to crack on the second step of the double flaring operation. I also found the original rear steel tubing at the CMP parts place where I have been some months ago. It was slightly bent at one spot but when I tried to straighten it, it cracked suddenly. I tried to use the remaining part to make the shorter pieces but it cracked without hope.

Thanks for the tip...will use it next time....
Hopefully I will be on a hi-speed system soon .... using the telephone lines is very slow but I have no other choice living in a rural area...... Even writing this is a lot a work since we have no power I have to sit at a bicycle generator to make power for the computer......... ... and since the wife usually leaves all the light on most of the time while trying to cook on the electric stove and I am trying to use the computer....it is murder........
