I am still trying to learn all of the different CMP patterns which can be a daunting task like learning the various M4 Sherman’s or T-34 production plant versions!

Thank you again.

Michael
The Italeri/Peerless gun tractor and 15cwt CMP kits are Chevrolet but of the later type which is known as the #13 cab style. The Tamiya Quad kit is a Ford CMP of the #12 cab style which is the middle type of the 3 CMP truck types. The earliest is the #11 cab type which looks similar to the cab 12 type. No scale model kits of the 11 Cab trucks or Chevrolet versions of the 12 cab type are made in 1/35 scale although there may be some 1/72, 1/76 scale one's in resin but as this is not a scale I keep up with I am probably wrong.

Default Italeri/Peerless both

Hi All

Over the years I have bought a couple of the Italeri/Peerless kits both FAT and
and 15CWT

Peerless 1/35 Patter 13 Field Gun Tractor - Chevrolet
Tamiya 1/35 Patter 12 Quad Gun Tractor - Ford
Italeri Testors 1/35 Patter 13 Field Gun Tractor - Chevrolet
Italeri Testors 1/35 Patter 13 Chevy 15 CWT

The terminology is that on the boxes not that of the a CMP collector.

Interesting that Peerless Italeri Testors 1/35 Patter 13s Gun Tractors that I have seen all have the parts for the close cab trucks as well.

Of all of these the Peerless seems to be the best quality though the oldest, maybe the molds have worn as they have gone from company to company.

Cheers Phil
