Its bizarre in many ways to think that my Dad, 92, may have helped manufacture some of those very Carriers. He was working at the Sentinel Works in Shrewsbury in the early 40s before entering service with the RAF. Anyone who wants to know anything about the process. Now is the time to ask. Dad still has very accurate recollection of all aspects of this build. Let me know and I can ask him andrew@honychurch.com

Andrew. As there are no adjustments in the gear change system, it seems to me that a bit of judicious "tweaking" was carried out, to make things fit / operate smoothly. What might your dad have to say about that aspect?
