Not to go against what has already been said but the large headlight is M37 as Rob has said but it was also found on some Canadian Ferrets at times.

Hi John,
The gasket with out a label looks very similar to a MB/GPW L head motor gasket. There are a few slight differences, but very close. If you google mb/gpw head gaske you'll see. I'm sure a jeep shouldn't be too hard to find over there to compare to! Cheers, Ian.

John, the second photo looks to have 6 diodes???, so my guess is a bridge rectifier??? (converts AC to DC) Just a guess.

Any useful information on the package label for that electrical part? David |

John.
I agree with Ian's observations on the label less head gasket. It I recall, that particular engine also served as a stationary power plant for a lot of wartime and post war equipment, so may have an application with some of that equipment. Cheers, David |

Nearly right,i think they are pst war hillman minx with them having the KMP/h on. Should a hillman tilly have the toggle switch? Thanks John |

The face looks wartime to me. I've just checked the handbooks, and YES...they do show the speed in MILES and KM.
Remember that the Tilly's were infact civilian in design and construction. Allthough the Hillman Minx used the same design meters postwar. |

Very early M4 and M4A1 Sherman. Would fit M3 and presumably Ram too.

A couple more mystery items I've come across.
The smaller box spanner in the picture is the 3" ford hub spanner. I think the steering wheel is possibly Austin? A fuel pump that was once fastened to the side of a refueler that came off an american airbase. |
