Post Alloy Heads

Four minutes to reply, What kept you??
So that would indicate that this head does not match any of the others in this pic?

Sorry, a bit slow!
No, no matches there, keep digging! The RH head is again a mirror image of the left.
Are all of these heads made in Canada?

Post Alloy V8 Head

Tony, The last posted head is the only one without "Made in Canada" cast into the ypper side.
If we haven't found the matching one now, we will never find it! The shed is empty & just doing final sorting.
Did you see the Pulleys and Idlers both marked D^D posted on the shedfull site?

Post Too Late!

Well this is it!
This will be my last post (sorry) before the auction. There is a lot of stuff not yet identified, but it doesn't matter. This is my last appeal. PLEASE help & make sure that all this wonderful stuff does not go to the scrappies.
I hate the idea of scrappies getting a hold of most of this stuff but I simply do not have the storage space anymore.
I am taking proxy bids on items if you cannot make it. Get them in BEFORE MIDDAY FRIDAY 28TH. Via email.
Got to my website & check out the items.
Cheers! Howard.

As per I.D. required, these are possibly a rifle or M.G. butt holder for a LP2 carrier.

Howard, good luck with the auction. Here's hoping there will the same buying frenzy as at John Belfield's auction!
If I wasn't living on the other side of the globe I'd certainly attend the auction and be bidding on some of the CMP items.

Regards,
Hanno

Thanks Hanno,
I look foward to comparing notes & gleaning information from you as I set about restoring my cab 12 F15
Which, by the way, won't be all that soon!
Cheers

Default Partial results

The sale was a success with only a couple of things not making what they should've.

The F15A Sunshine has gone to a new owner in Queensland for $210, the cab 12 C60L also found an enthusiastic new owner, and the C8AX has gone to a certain Yass person who already has one as well as a lot of other Chevs... now who could that be, I wonder???

C'mon, own up, new owner!

and you know Keith he wasn't going until I reminded him that the sale was on. I could't make it to the sale but the chev buyer (C8AX) brought me home a couple of goodies.

Post Auction. Ganmain

Well G'Day all,
After 12 months of work the shedfull auction is finally over!
To those of you who have emailed me, give me a couple of days I have just returned from the south coast. I thouht that irregular sleeping patterns would be normal leading up to the auction, however on Sunday after the auction I turned up at the auction site just in time to see the scrappies loading. Some of those sights will haunt me for ever! (And I mean forever.) But now to the good news...
The F15A went to a very excited Jason of Brisbane.
The C8AX went to Ashley of Yass NSW who reports that he is keen to start work on the old girl soon.
The C60L went to Greg of Oberon NSW and is currently sitting next to my house awaiting transportation. Mrs Howard is delighted. It was fun driving it the Km or so from the auction site!
The V8 engines went all over the place, 2 to scrap (Ugghh)
The Brake Drums were passed in as the winning bidder was the local scrappie. They are for sale, drop me a note.
Well that's the highlights. Thanks to all on MLU esp Keith for your help over the last couple of months.
Photos of the auction will be posted at the
HHshedfull site later in the week
Cheers
Howard.

Question ID Required

G'day All.
In one of the unsorted boxes at the auction, the buyer returned this to me guessing (correctly) that I would have kept it if I had come across it! Can anyone help in ID of which vehicle this came off?
Measures 33cm (13") X 10cm (4") made of thick brass.

Default WOW!

It's off a 6 x 4 Ford, assembled by Ford of Australia with presumably the US version of the Thornton Tandem Axle Corporation, Detroit, rear conversion and not the Canadian agency (H.V. Welles Limited of Windsor). I wonder if there was an Aussie agency? However, which chassis did it come from? Any pix please????

It's from a 6x4 Ford based truck, these had Workshop, Wrecker, or Tanker bodies. Some were also used by the civillian market for Fire Engines.
Are you saying it's not for sale? (drool!)

Talking Drool Indeed!

Sorry, not for sale.
Were they fitted to any particular truck? What sort of year/s are we talking about?

Further to what David and Tony mentioned, here's a picture of such a Thornton 2-Axle Drive conversion, in this case fitted to a Canadian Truck, 3-ton, 6x6, Crash Tender (Ford/Marmon-Herrington MM5-6). These were used in pre/early WW2 conversions.

Awfully nice of the buyer to return it to you!

David, see Truck, 3-ton, 6x6, Crash Tender (Ford/Marmon-Herrington MM5-6) for two more, courtesy of our own Sean "Snowtractor" Spencer.
