Default USN Bomb Hoist

The bomb hoist is missing its boom with attach point and pulley.

In civilian use these type hoists are often referred to as 'Fish-pole Hoists' which describes them rather well.

Default Blitz RAAF Crane in Toowoomba

RAAF Ford Blitz Crane truck for sale on ebay. Truck appears to be complete but I'm not familiar with them so don't know for sure. I hope it ends up in the hands of someone who will do it justice as it is a great piece of history. http://r.ebay.com/tECsT3

That's not a Blitz rear diff or wheel, and the drawbar brackets don't look blitz either!

Default Trailer

Tony's correct, the one with the red wheels is not blitz, but the seller's other trailer looks like it is or was a F15A with a different front axle.

I spoke to the owner, the tyres are completely knackered which is a pity as they look like 10.50-20.

Are the wheels British?

For comparison, look what $1100 more will get on a "buy it now".

Keith, they look like Australian type 18" trailer wheels to me, as used on Wiles cookers, generator trailers, etc.

Certainly is Keith. Does anyone know what these International trucks were used for? The back section of the roadster cab looks the same as the Ford/Marmon Herrington trucks and Ford 1 ton utes. Or looks to be from the same source. The interesting thing is the three ribs along the top of the doors and rear section which is the Ford style on those roaster cabs. The doors have a curved bottom front edge but the inside door shot on the Gumtree site shows the doors appear to be actually Ford doors. The rear panel support struts and B pillar bracing is similar too.

And a fairly crappy one at that. Wonder what makes it a fuel can for a carrier. It's listed at about four times it's true value given it's condition.

Fuel can not not specifically a carrier one:

"Up for auction today we have a 1943 dated D/i\D marked fuel can as used on the carrier and other ww2 vehicles, in good condition."

Good condition may be a bit of a stretch though...

Worth looking at sellers other items , quite a variety, but all top dollar (to me anyway)
Rich.
