Spitfire in the sand
The Spitfire beer picture is from HMVForum site and the comments about the dog and pony show in Burma are getting cruel over there.

Great Photo. I know me and a lot of my old Army buddies would have loved to dig up a cache of "Sealed" Spitfire bottles, bugger the planes, party time. Cheers Tony

Oh well, back to the old drawing board, It was I suppose just an eccentric man's dream. We all thought of the dig with a "tongue in cheek" attitude we will now have to find another project to keep the thread going as this one dies. Cheers Tony

Did I ever tell you about the time I was abducted by aliens? It was while I was on a trip, looking for the loch ness monster. The ship was shaped a bit like a spitfire, just different in every way.
Aliens were from uranus! The landing site was in Area 51, which is of course where the fake moon landing was staged. Also the home of the sasquatch/bigfoot/yeti/abominable snowman/julia gillard.

Don't worry folks, the Spits may have been a hoax, but apparently he's picked up a genuine lead on a pristine B29, and I have to admit it does seem more credible this time.

Hi Guys
Oh well, back to the old drawing board. On another note, at least the skeleton found buried under a council car park in Northern England at has been positively identified by DNA that the bones found were those of missing King Richard III of England. Cheers Tony

What about the tunnels around Sydney full of WW2 equipment or a more local one about the mineshafts in the Grampiams in Victoria full of Harley Davidsons?
Will they ever end...then there's Benitos Treasure at Queenscliff.... |
