Hopefully the new owner will make himself known on the forum. I can say he is in California and the carrier sold for $55,500.
We thought it was going to end up in Scotland as a group of buyers was planning to fly over to kick the tires while scouting some tanks that they needed for a museum that is being established. But a child of one of the group was in a car wreck and their trip got delayed. I retained the 4-inch smoke discharger and mounting bracket since it would have been difficult to transfer due to the gun laws on the left coast.

David, only just seen the news on this. Sorry that you have let the T16 go but I trust you have plans afoot for new projects.
I must say that your help and advice when I restored my own T16 proved invaluable and I thank you once again for the effort and time you gave to me. Some body has purchased a superb t16. |

It certainly was a fun vehicle to research and then restore. But everything eventually ends up somewhere else and we figured it was time for the carrier. Also it gets me out of debt on the house and provides funds to finish my older daughter's last semester in college as well.
We just got a call from the new owner who says it was delivered yesterday and they are very happy with it. Asked if it would be attending any events or shows on the west coast and was told it will stay inside with their other vehicles so sounds like a private collection. No new projects on the table right now. I really need to do some work on our M29C Weasel. Would love to get into a Daimler Scout Car like the spare one you're selling Andrew but likely I'll have to get into a real beater and start ground up to be able to afford doing it.

david your t16 restoration was an inspiration for me earlier this year when I was working on mine and like you I chose to sell it (to fund my Cromwell which is also for sale) so I can understand what it's like to part with a project but these are the things we sometimes have to do when money is an issue.
money talks and bullshit walks and i'm tired of walking ![]() all the best rick
