F60S POW racks

I have spent a happy hour browsing many threads trying to determine whether the POW racks, each for three 2 gallon cans, on my 1944 F60S should be fabricated from folded sheet steel or steel strip.
The majority of the pictures show sheet steel but the vehicles have been restored. However the factory photo I have shows fabrication from strip steel.
Which would be correct for my vehicle please?
