Default Cdn camouflage netting ww11

Gentlemen: I'm looking for the pattern and colors for WW11Canadian Camo Netting. I checked on this subject with earlier conversations on the forum and the only pictures provided were of American camo netting. Were Canadian and British the same or did we follow the American Pattern. Photographs would be appreciated. Cheers for your time....Robert

Default good idea

Hi Robert, I have a net but no camoflague material on it(was going to make one). I also have a book from the war office that talkes all about camoflague, ill look for pivtures as I think it talkes about making nets from scratch.

Default Same boat...

Thanks Lew. Sounds like we're both in the same boat. I have the net but no pattern. Hessian/ burlap isn't a problem, just colors and pattern. You can send me photos to my email add
By the way, we just finished loading 2/ 40 ft containers coming to your town. My back and hernia will never be the same!! Thanks for your help....Robert

Default Garnishing nets

I have a copy of Military Training Pamphlet No 46 Camouflage Part 1. It has a description of the various options for nets and screens.

It has good details on how to garnish a net with hessian strips.
It includes the colours of the strips, and edge details, where the garnishing is thinned out so it doesn't cast a shadow at the edge. Also joining nets, such as the big artillery nets.

I will scan it at work and post images tomorrow.

Rob
