Default Where is this place?

Hi,

I like this photo very much but I have always had the doubts what place it shows. The librarian description of this pic is: "Edmonton (vicinity), Province of Alberta, Canada. Army trucks at southern sector headquarters, along the Alcan Highway route." Also the soldiers seems to be more Canadian than American if we look at their sweaters and caps. But the inscription at the house is: "Headquarters, Southern Sector, Force 6968, USA".

The picture was taken in 1942.

Thank you for possible theory.

Best regards

C.
