Default Dummy M72 Wanted

Hi guys,

Just wanted to put the feelers out there for a dummy M72 if there are any floating around.

I have heard lots of stories about these at various events, and/or in and around the Montreal area, if fact, I even saw a listing for one for sale on Kijiji Ottawa a couple of years ago. Regardless, if you know of any, please let me know.

Thanks

Steve

Steve, as ridiculous as it sounds, I believe these are also on Trudeau’s recent list of banned firearms.

They are, and as part of the quickly coming to an end 'amnesty' (with a mere 11 months to go and no clear answer what happens to all those recently prohibited firearms when it does end) they are legal to own (for the remaining 11 months anyway) but not to sell or even give away or move to your new house.

I expect if there was a deactivated one out there (to what deactivation standard who knows) it might be non-prohibited 'gun' enough to acquire under the new rules.

That advice is of course coming from an internet non-lawyer...

If you are talking about the launcher, then just drill some holes in it, epoxy in a couple rods to prevent a rocket from being introduced into it (not that they are particularly reloadable) and it should count as deactivated...that is not easily made to fire a round. There are airsoft versions of the M27 out there, and they are metal instead of fiberglass, so a lot harder to break.
If you are after the actual rocket, those are a lot harder to find. I rarely see them come up.

Prices on the (deactivated) tubes are also a bit crazy these days. $350 will net a very quick sale, I recently saw an ad for one at $600 and it was gone in a couple days.
