Default Short Term Storage.

Once Upon a Time, there was a guy who had 4 Chevs and needed to stash them somewhere for 6 weeks. With Permission granted from a local farmer they where dropped of up behind the back paddock.
Eleven years later, they are still going to be picked up any day now. Of course they may have to pump the tyres up and put a splash of fresh fuel in....
From the right, rolling chassis, Signal Van, Silo truck, Tipper.
Sig. van to start with.

Much mix and matching of wheels on all trucks, no sign of the spacers for the front of the tipper, which by the way, is the nicest tipper body I have seen.
I fear that the owners memories of the trucks may be rosier than it fact, not to mention the decay since.
Bonus photos for those that have stayed to the end, often hear Cletracs mentioned here, saw one for the first time.
For those other uneducated track kickers, Cletrac= Cleveland Tractor (Co.)
The rather major block repair shown was by all accounts a normal occourence, BTW it dates back to 1927
Rich.

Default Wo73

Thanks for posting these interesting pics Richard.

I checked the sigvan in my database to find I have a record of the next one in the sequence - here are both of them with close engine numbers too except the later number is in the earlier vehicle:

Quote:
2842100517S PR3857843
2842100518S PR3857842
WO73 was allocated to the 4X2 version while the C15A Wireless Signals was WO12.

Hi Keith,
Had not seen the tag stamped "Signal Van" , and for that matter I had not seen an under bonnet tag like this (See below), think it as on the tipper. Also new for me was the oil spec tag on the rear diff, sig van.
Out off all the good stuff there, not one engine cover!
Rich.

I haven't seen these tags before either but I have seen the tag on the cab on gun tractors saying what they were.
Very good to see you're capturing the data plates. Nice work!
