Default Armoured invasion

Hello

Every year near of PARIS there is a great meeting of old cars, trucks and military vehicles. Among the last there was a simulation of invasion of a territory with no less than 7 tanks :
1 tank destroyer TD M10 belonging to "musee des blindes de SAUMUR"
1 STUART M5 belonging to a private
1 SHERMAN M4A1 belonging to a private
5 SHERMAN including a SHERMAN BULLDOZE , A SHERMAN with a frontal tools to unearth mines and 3 other SHERMAN.
In a first time the SHERMAN like the SHERMAN used in PACIFIC war make a trench, it is followed by soldiers with magnetic tools then the other SHERMAN are able to be drive in the way.
The following address on YOU TUBE give a description of all operations

Default Most of sherman

Hello
There is two kinds of restoration for old military vehicles. Some are done with a great accuracy but other like the SHERMAN you have seen are done with the main goal that the tanks are rolling.

So the most SHERMAN you have seen have MAN diesel engine instead the fuel CONTINENTAL 9 cylinders for the M4 and M4A4 and also a diesel MAN engine instead the two GM diesel for the M4A2. Inside some of them, the sticks used for directional have been replaced by a joystick and all of them own an internal network TV with a little camera at the rear top of the turret so when you drive the tank in reverse you can see where you go

The source of these tank is an association BALMORAL GREEN managed by a man who had great relation with french military. So most of the SHERMAN are issuing from scrap belonging to french army or static monument.

I give the address www.balmoralgreen.com

Regards Serge

balmoralgreen1 has a Youtube channel. I just watched several of their videos showing how they have rebuilt their 5 Shermans from range targets, historic monuments and 'gate guards'.
