Talking Photo date correct? (PIC)

Hi there

I pulled this very neat photo off the NAC website.

PA145376
King George VI inspects 'Priests' of 12, 13 or 14 Field Regiment RCA

15 April 1944

Okay, the date is fine for the issue of Priests, but shouldn't those gunners be wearing berets instead of FS caps?

And how about the AFV marking?

Research shows there are guns of the 66 Field Battery, 14th Field Regiment. Notice the disruptive camoflage patterning on the sides of the SPs.

Note as well the M14 halftrack seems to have an SP census number ('S' prefix as opposed to 'Z')

Cool picture, though.

Steve
