Default Name that piece.... or what is it?

It is official...I have placed myself on the "Winter Suicide Watch". I moved here from the Maritimes to get away from this stuff.....nuff o' that.

I have been beavering away in the garage attending to the "small stuff" in preparation for spring. For which I have beem told is due sometime in August!!!

I have come across a skid plate of some kind and I don't believe it belongs to my F15A Cab 13 (no winch). I could be wrong and have been hitting the grapes too much.

If it doesn't belong to the truck and someone can Identify it and if someone needs it for their project I will gladly give it away. First come, First served.

Default Too many fermented grapes

You do actually need this on a Ford cab 13. it's the splash plate which goes on the step on the driver's side, just in front of the battery. Yours has a slight fold in it which it shouldn't have. The cutout in it fits around the bit where the cast bracket on the chassis is bolted to the ridiculously slight step brackets.
I have a couple already so someone else (closer to you) may benefit from it if you don't want it.

Default Not a skid plate..

Hi Keith,

Thanks for the information....I would have never thought of it being what you described. I check a gizzilian pics and never thought of the battery area.

Well, to all the rest of you....I looks as though I will need the part after all.

cheers and thanks again Keith....

Once again the "collective" produces results...

a pic for viewing enjoyment....for the Aussies, that piece of machinery in the foreground is not a roto-tiller or bush-wacker....it's a snowblower.

Looking good and thanks for letting us know what the device in front was...

Here are a couple of not too good pics of the splash plate - hope these help.
