Default Door Hinge Bushing Bushes

Another tricky question;

Does anyone know of a place I can obtain the Ford door bronze hinge bushings? Australia preferred, but not essential.

Mac's has the pins: (Which don't wear anyways) B-46335-LONG EACH $3.95 DOOR HINGE PIN Plain steel, passenger except for 32 roadster & Phaeton, extended length for use with hinge pin mirrors

Yes, yes, I know I can oversize the old ones, and get an oversize pin turned. Or Put a solid bushing in and ream it out to original pin size. All these methods are a lot of work.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Default Update

Great news:

Have found a supplier and the goods are ordered, when they arrive I will provide details and part number, photo, and details. (And add it to the master list).

Ian.

Default Replacement Bush

Hi all,

The replacement here in Australia is an FB4 bush, from Bearing Services P/L...It is a straight sleeve. DO NOT remove the old bushing, drill it to the O/D of the new bushing and insert.... no one has been forthcoming with a better solution so I am developing my own...

It is a 5/16" x7/16" x 1" bush FB4:

Ream out your old bush to slightly larger than 7/16" and press insert the new bushing, and you're done. Reassemble hinge assembly. NO saggy door any more..

See: .................................Not hard to do..
