On the way to help me set up the parade my son was pulled over by the RCMP He was driving My 1942 Willys.
The constable was in the process of writing him a ticket for driving the Jeep without doors. Fools exist everywhere.

Regards
Jeff

Did the ticket get issued, or was there a discussion that made it go away? I have not heard of that one before....

I drove the M151A2 to one of my Legion branch's assigned canvassing spots. Partly as a draw and because the weather was still tolerable. The main city cop shop is 2 blocks away and as I turned left across traffic to get to my destination, I spotted a cruiser pulled off the main roadway. Maybe something was happening, dunno. So around the corner I go and find a promanent parking spot. Next thing I see that cop car pulling up beside. Gulp!

The officer comes out and immediately explains his interest is purely personal. He introduces himself as a friend of a fellow MLU'er and explains he has a frame-off restoration of an M38. I had on my OMVA hat too. (Phew! Among friends!) As usual we talked about the demilitarization and the rewelding. He wished me well and went back to his post.

Default Ticket

She was also doing traffic for the parade.
I pointed Her out to half of the parade before I marched them off to the Cenotaph including the Inspector .
