At the movies
I guess it was in honour of Rosh Hashanah, or something, but one of the cable channels had "Cast a Giant Shadow" on last weekend.
A feast for the eyes of HMV buffs it was, for it featured all sorts of interesting vehicles, having been filmed in Israel in '66. Lots of GPWs, M3 halftracks, Shermans, all sorts odds and sods of trucks, plenty of Stens, Brens, MG42s and so on. One vehicle that caught my eye was in a night attack scene on a Jordanian post. There was a truck sitting there that at first glance I thought might have been a C15TA, but could have been a Humber or Morris of some kind. It was blown up pretty fast, and I wasn't recording, so couldn't rewind for a closer look. Anyone know if there were ever any C15TAs that went to Israel.
