Ferret Night Vision
Just had to post some photos of my Ferret with its Image Intensifier installed. Had the hatch and intensifier for some time and at last found some time to refinish the hatch to mount on my Ferret. Below some photos.
Pretty impressed with the image in almost total darkness, taken tonight, its an overcast evening, no moon or starlight, just the glow from the town lights in the background. Yellow lens cover is the daytime filter for the intensifier |

Photos of a buddy of mine, actual image is much clearer, the camera just dosent quite capture it as well. You can see he is smoking for the photos...

I guess you got the ferret. Is it as nice as it appears to be? Is the slave cable receptacle supposed to be beside the hatch? It's the first time I've seen that mod. How's the daytime driving with the hatch open? I hear it's difficult.
Congrats on yet another ferret. Dan Sicotte |

Hey Dan,
The Ferret is in pretty nice shape, slowly picking away improving her one piece at a time. Runs and drives like a dream. The outlet on the right front you mention is a radio mod for a remote radio antenna connection...I assume park in the bottom of a gully and run a remote antenna to the top of the hill to establish a good viewing area, thus enabling you to transmit better. I have yet to drive it in daylight using the intensifier, it would not be fun thats for sure. At night, its pretty strange. Lots of other interesting NI mods and scars on this Ferret, pretty cool. Some photos from a few weeks ago before I installed her turret... Cheers |

Very nice!
Is it a MK 1 converted to a MK 2/3? If so, are you keeping the MK 1 armour and accessories? I am looking for some...to convert mine to a MK 1. Welcome back to the ferret world. Dan Sicotte 00 DA 81 |
